Bruce Garner Bennefield, Jr. January 27, 1960 ~ July 30, 2024

Bruce Garner Bennefield, Jr., age 64, of Deweyville, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, in Beaumont, Texas. A graveside service to honor Bruce will be held at 2:00 PM, on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, Autumn Oaks Memorial Park; Bro. Steve Kidwell officiating. Visitation of family and friends will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, on Monday, August 5, 2024, at Dorman Funeral Home.

On Wednesday, January 27, 1960, Bruce was born to Genell and Bruce Garner Bennefield, Sr., in Orange, Texas.  Bruce worked various jobs in his lifetime. Some of those included dairy farms, mechanic, county road repair, waste management, and mowing. Bruce enjoyed his work, always putting forth his best efforts. He also served as a volunteer fireman. Bruce's home was always open to family needing a place to stay and he would always be the first to give whatever he had. In his spare time, Bruce loved fishing and barbequing with family, and friends.

Bruce is preceded in death by his parents, Genell Duhon Nations and Bruce Bennefield, Sr.; wives, Connie and Teresa.

Those left to cherish Bruce's memory are his longtime partner, Danielle Prejean, of Deweyville, Texas; his children: Ricky Thomas and his wife, Brittany, of Dallas, Texas, Crystal and her husband, Logan, of Velma, Oklahoma, Stephanie and her husband, Phillip, of Call, Texas, Candace, of Woodville, Texas, Michael, of Call, Texas; ten step-children; grandchildren: Curtis, Emma, Brynlee, Cole, Cade, Cooper, Laykin, Kaytlyn, Hunter, Renee, Tessa; sisters: Kathy Smith, of Deweyville, Texas, Paula Parker, of Tilton, New Hampshire; nephew, Joshua; nieces: Jennifer, Kristen, and Heather; 5 great-nieces and 2 great-nephews; multiple cousins, extended family, and great friends.
