Driver in one vehicle rollover walked away mostly un-injured

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers are investigating a one-vehicle crash on state Highway 63 west of Jasper that occurred Friday, August 23, 2024.

The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 5:40 p.m., a 2006 Ford F-150 was traveling east. It is reported that the Ford traveled off the roadway for an unknown reason, rolled several times, and struck a tree.

The driver of the Ford, identified as 58-year-old Thomas Smith of Colmesneil, was evaluated on scene by EMS and released.
