Man seen on Ring Doorbell carrying gun wearing camo in persons front yard

According to Tyler County Sheriff Bryan Weatherford, on April 18th, 2024, at approximately 5:30 am, Tyler County Deputies responded to a residence on Pine Street in the City of Colmesneil. A Ring-Doorbell Camera captured a video recording of a white male wearing all camouflage, a hunting style backpack, and carrying a pistol-grip shotgun. The white male was walking in the front yard of the residence and ran when the homeowner called out to him on the ring camera. Deputies arrived on scene and were unable to locate any signs of forced entry into the home or vehicles at the residence. Several vacant residences and structures were checked in the area and deputies believe this individual could be “Squatting” in the area.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking everyone in the Colmesneil Area to review any type of surveillance footage available to help with identifying this individual. At this time, the Sheriff’s Office has not received any calls reporting break-ins or thefts in the area.
