Mark Wallet Obituary Oct. 30, 1965 - May 6, 2024

Mark Wallet, 58, of Woodville, passed away Monday, May 6, 2024 in Woodville, Texas.

Mark was born October 30, 1965 to Billie Gene and Christine Collier Wallet in Houston, Texas and had lived the past 10 years in the Woodville area. He was a skilled machinist and worked in the oil & gas industry for many years. He often said, “If you start something, finish it.” and “You can’t just say you’re a cowboy, you got to be one.” Mark enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an avid hog hunter. He loved his children and was dedicated to coaching their baseball & softball teams. He was a caring and compassionate man that knew Jesus as his Lord & Savior.

He is survived by his son, Kyle Merrick of Montgomery County, daughters, Caitlyn Merrick of Bryan, College Station and Hailey Wallet of Montgomery County; sisters, Vicky Wallet Keeton of Montgomery County and Christal Garret of Village Mills; and a host of other family and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents, Billie Gene and Christine Collier Wallet; brother, Jason Wallet; sister, Janell Ware Wallet, and numerous other extended Wallet & Collier family.

A celebration of Mark’s life will be scheduled at a later date.
