Obituary of Lucy Conner January 6, 1948 - December 23, 2024

Lucy Ann Conner, 76, of Beaumont, passed away Monday, December 23, 2024 in Beaumont, Texas.


Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. service time on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville with burial to follow in Rockland Cemetery in Rockland, Texas. Officiating will be her son, Pastor Wes Conner. Serving as pallbearers will be Garrett Conner, Barrett Conner, Ben Conner, Austin Conner, Quinten Knick, and Spencer Marks. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Marshall and Chester Marshall.


Lucy was born January 6, 1948 to Chesley Howard and Marie Freeman Weeks in Adel, Georgia. She was a longtime resident of Beaumont and had excelled as a Tupperware manager. In her Tupperware career, she won the title of most recruits for the Southeastern part of the United States and was presented a new Pontiac Grand Prix. Her church membership was with Northend Baptist Church in Beaumont. Lucy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to many and will be greatly missed.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Chesley Weeks and Marie Weeks Brooks; and stepfather, L.D. Brooks.


She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Joe Conner of Beaumont; sons, Joe Wesley Conner and wife Betsy of Sumter, SC and Chad Everette Conner and wife Cammie of Goodrich; sister, Wanda Peterson and husband Pete of Lufkin; brother, Charlie Weeks of Rockland; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.


Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or plant a tree.


Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville, Texas.
