Tyler County Judge Milton Powers

We are grateful for all the soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy today. The Tyler County Commissioner's Court and members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2033 commemorated the sacrifices made by generations of Tyler County military veterans at the courthouse. We issued a proclamation honoring those veterans, and VFW Post Commander Mike King presented a wreath to hang in front of the county's veterans' memorial.

As we enjoy this Memorial Day may we never forget the memories of those who fought for our freedoms and let us always remember the true cost of liberty. May we continue to cherish and protect the gift of democracy that they and their families sacrificed for our Country.
