Warren Babin July 22, 1948 - July 10, 2024

Warren Babin, 75, of Colmesneil, Texas, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Silsbee Oaks Nursing Home in Silsbee, Texas.

Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Steele Grove Cemetery in Colmesneil.  Officiating will be Dr. Joey Brent.  

Warren was born July 22, 1948 to Adelard Michel, Jr. and Audrey Mae Flowers Babin in Lutcher, Louisiana.   A former longtime resident of Baton Rouge, he had lived in Colmesneil for the past 20 years.  Warren was a published poet, song writer and was an excellent artist.  He had worked many years in maintenance at LSU and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adelard, Jr. and Audrey Mae Babin; and wife, Mary A. Babin.

He is survived by his son, Bronson Babin and wife JoAnna of Webster, FL; daughter, Marie Spurlock and husband Charlie of Colmesneil; brother, Larry Babin and wife Connie of Gonzales, LA; sisters, Marion Beasley and husband Jim Herzner of Silsbee, Valerie Hymel and husband Joseph of Gonzales, LA and Paula Stanley and husband Lee Brown of Fred; 7 grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville, Texas.
