Woods fire at Double M Ranch in Jasper

East End Volunteer Fire Department was called out at 3:50 Saturday afternoon for a woods fire located at

4325 U.S. Highway 190 in Jasper, across from Double M Ranch just past the Goodman Unit.

Upon arrival units found a small brush fire that spread to a thick wooded area. Crews pulled booster lines and forestry lines and went to work on the fire. The fire was contained a short time later. East End VFD responded with 2 Brush trucks, 1 Engine and 4 personnel.

This fire was contained at 4:37pm. Thankfully there were no injuries reported.
